The military clip is something familiar, having heard the tone from his father all the way through growing up even though it was usually barking orders at him, and that helps ease the surprise of the bat wings. Mind you, he hadn't really expected anything less from anyone working for Lucifer so the surprise isn't that much. Now that he'd had some time to adjust to the visual differences between a lot of the species between worlds, things are definitely a lot easier. And yeah, the hunting had helped.
